1. About OpenSeat

OpenSeat is a private, members-only event management platform operated by Vanilla Studio. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use OpenSeat. Membership is subject to approval by our team. We reserve the right to accept or decline membership applications at our discretion.

3. Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must provide accurate and up-to-date information
  • You may not share your account with others
  • You must not use the platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes

4. Events

Hosts are responsible for the events they create, including accuracy of event details and managing guest lists. Guests are expected to honor their RSVPs. OpenSeat facilitates connections but is not responsible for the conduct of hosts or guests at events.

5. WhatsApp Communications

By using OpenSeat, you consent to receive transactional WhatsApp messages related to your events, invitations, and account. These include event invitations, RSVP confirmations, event updates, cancellations, and reminders. You can opt out of WhatsApp notifications in your profile settings.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled before the renewal date. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis.

7. Phone Number Sharing

When you accept an event invitation, your phone number is shared with the host and theirs with you. You agree not to misuse shared contact information (e.g., for spam, harassment, or unsolicited marketing).

8. Prohibited Conduct

  • Harassing, threatening, or abusing other members
  • Creating fraudulent events or misleading profiles
  • Scraping data or attempting to access other members' accounts
  • Using the platform for commercial solicitation without permission

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

10. Limitation of Liability

OpenSeat is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, events attended, or interactions with other members.
